Mementos

July 24  -  August 31, 2026

Works of art that artists have left behind highlight their lives while evoking their circumstances, emotions and conceptions. This is even more clear when visiting the artist studio or open house after they are gone.

According works of art is to have a piece of life into your senses and space.  In our summer exhibtion, “Mementos” includes artists works as well as their tools and unfinished works left behind.

They let us think “What can I leave behind?”

Gallery began as a contemporary art space, CONCEPTO, in Brooklyn in 1995, with focused on showing the works of up and coming artists as well as mid-carrier artists. From each of these thematic shows, we purchased works which inspired us to collect art works of different actions (especially collecting Japanese, Chinese and Korean works of art). In 2010, we relocated to Hudson, New York. At the same time, our collection of art / antiques accumulated significantly. We started to design our thematic shows by mixing the works of different period, nations and mediums. It became our departure of Mugen Art since 2019.
